The tenth Stochastic Activity Month
||4th of September 2017 tot 8th of September 2017
The tenth Stochastic Activity Month will take place at EURANDOM in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, in September 2017.
This year’s theme is: “Random Graphs and Complex Networks: Models, Algorithms, and Applications”. The activities will consist of three week-long workshops:
- The Young European Probabilists workshop YEP XIV, from September 4-8, with theme “Networks: Probability, Combinatorics and Algorithms”. This workshop features three mini-courses by experts in their fields, and research talks by early to mid-career researchers. The mini-course lecturers are Manuel Cabezas & Alexander Fribergh, Pietro Caputo, and Amin Coja-Oghlan. The intended audience are early-career researchers.
- Randomness and Graphs: Processes and Structures, from September 11-15. This workshop focuses on recent mathematical advances in the probabilistic, combinatorial, and algorithmic study of networks.
- Community Detection and Network Reconstruction, from September 18-22. This workshop discusses recent advances in these burgeoning fields, and aims at bringing together researchers from various different backgrounds and disciplines, in particular, mathematicians, computer scientists, physicists, and researchers from the life sciences.
Please help us to publicize the Stochastic Activity Month by forwarding this announcement to anyone who may be interested.
